Will’s strong verbal and writing abilities stem from his childhood; when he was a young boy, his mother taught him ten new English vocabulary words daily, and encouraged him to read a book a day outside of his normal school assignments. This consistent practice propelled him to the Ivy League Columbia University in New York (home of the Pulitzer Prize), where writing and verbal skills are both greatly valued, and consistently producing high quality essays is considered the bare minimum.

Will老師優異的語文及寫作能力來自小時候的教育。在他還是個小男孩的時候,他的媽媽每天教他十個新詞彙,並鼓勵他每天讀一本課外讀物。這個從小養成的習慣促使他考上常春藤名校哥倫比亞大學(普立茲獎的發源地)。這是所十分重視語文及寫作能力的學校,持續發表高品質文章是該校的基本門檻。

As a teacher, Will similarly expects the best. However, despite his high expectations, he is a caring, nurturing teacher, who understands that each individual student begins at different levels. He is especially cognizant of common mistakes Mandarin speakers make when learning English: such as the usages of “a” and “the,” and the addition of the “s” at the end of plural words, characteristics that are not present in Mandarin. His goal is to help students of all levels attain top scores in order for them to achieve entry into their dream schools.

成為老師之後,Will老師期許自己跟學生都能盡善盡美,做到最好。儘管他對學生有此期待,他也不忘關懷學生,了解學生的個別差異。他特別了解華人學習英語容易犯的錯誤,例如:不定冠詞 “a” 和定冠詞 “the” 的區辨、複數字尾加上 “s” 、及一些不存在中文語法中的結構。他的目標是幫助各種不同程度的學生都能拿到高分,進入他們夢想的學校。
